Gary Higgins Photography

From the time I photographed my first assignment for my hometown weekly newspaper as a teenager, I was hooked.

Photography is a universal language and for me, a window from which to experience and capture life’s most magical moments. The privilege of meeting wonderful people, sharing their stories and the opportunity to witness monumental events has been inspirational and enlightening.

From Fenway Park opening day to a Little League ballgame, two New England Patriots Super Bowl victories to teacher of the week, I thoroughly enjoy photographing each unique situation.

Successful images are the result of trust and connection between photographer and subject. People often comment how “at ease” I make them feel.

My photography has received numerous awards from The Associated Press, New England Press Association, National Press Photographers Association, Boston Press Photographers Association and has been published by major media outlets including Newsweek, The New York Times and People magazine.

My work has taken me throughout the United States and around the world, from “Helping in Haiti” and “Fading Faces of Tibet” to a recent nine U.S. city ethnography study for Discovery U.S. Hispanic group and Cheskin Added Value. All are presented in multimedia format. Portrait photography, corporate event photography and celebration photography are my specialties. I pride myself on the ability to capture extraordinary moments in everyday life.

I look forward to helping capture yours.
